Shippers & Movers
We encourage you to understand the shipping process and costs before bidding. Selecting a shipper, obtaining insurance, and covering shipping costs are your responsibilities. To assist you and streamline the shipping process, we have partnered with Arta to provide shipping quotes and insurance for your purchases worldwide. After an auction, winning bidders receive an email from Arta and DuMouchelles, enabling you to obtain shipping quotes from Arta. These shipping services are provided as a courtesy. If you prefer not to use Arta, you are welcome to use any shipping vendor of your choice. Simply select a shipper from one of the lists below, or collect your purchases yourself. Please refer to our Conditions of Sale for our shipping terms.
Bill of Lading Notice
All shippers are required to present a Bill of Lading and release form upon arrival at our gallery. If you are shipping out of the state of Michigan, your shipper must present a Bill of Lading to us. If your shipper does not have a Bill of Lading, and unless you have a valid resale number on file with us, Michigan sales tax will be added to your invoice.
Pick-Ups at the Gallery
If you choose to pick up your purchases, please call us at (313) 963-6255 (Option 5) or email us at [email protected] in advance to schedule your pick-up. Hours for pickup are Tuesday – Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm. We are happy to assist our clients with pick-ups; however, our staff may not have the resources to assist in packing or loading certain pieces, including bulky or heavy ones. If you are picking up a large quantity and/or bulky or heavy pieces, please bring assistance and your own packing materials to pack and load your vehicle.
Insurance
We recommend and may require that you insure all items while in transit and signatures of receipt. Shipments must be sent to valid addresses, and items will not be shipped to P.O. boxes. All shipments require that the recipient (or a responsible adult at the residence) be present to sign for purchases shipped.
Removal Requirements
All purchases must be removed from our gallery no later than ten (10) days following the sale. Removal of purchases during the auction is encouraged. Purchases not removed within this timeframe will be subject to handling and storage costs, as outlined in our Conditions of Sale.
Disclaimer
DuMouchelles can provide contact information for local shippers, however, your selection of a shipper and the cost of shipping is your responsibility. We encourage you to get an estimate of shipping costs prior to bidding. We also require your approval to release property to any third party.
Shipper and Pick-Up Authorization Form
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure a smooth and efficient transaction process for our clients, we kindly remind all buyers to complete the Shipper and Pick-Up Authorization Form prior to the collection of any purchased items by any party other than the buyer.
