Continuation of the Estate of Senator Jack Faxon and Private & Estate Collections at

DETROIT (January 10, 2021) – DuMouchelles Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29 auctions feature the continuation
of the collection of Michigan Senator Jack Faxon, an avid art collector and a champion for the arts that led to him create
the Michigan Council for the Arts. Senator Faxon’s extensive collection of stained glass leaded windows, over 250 pieces
of African tribal art, a wide variety of Chinese art, in addition to paintings, sculptures and lithographs by iconic artists,

The auctions also feature the estate of Robert C. Metcalf, a distinguished architect who joined the faculty of the
University of Michigan College of Architecture and Urban Planning in 1955, served as Chairman from 1968-1974, Dean
from 1974 to 1986, and retired as professor emeritus in 1991. Mr. Metcalf’s collection will be sold to benefit the
University of Michigan Museum of Art. The estate of Perry Swartz, of Farmington Hills, MI, the Estate of a Pleasant
Ridge, MI sporting art collector, prominent Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, Bloomfield Hills, MI and Palm Beach, FL estates, in
addition to other prominent collectors and estates are also featured.
